A Link for the Legal Community

Because I am wading through several law student briefs for an American Bar Association competition and have noticed a disturbing trend, I am posting this  link for any and every writer – especially lawyers and prospective lawyers.  Though I have not read this specific book (“Legal Writing in Plain English” by Bryan A. Garner), I agree wholeheartedly with Section 5 (“Omit needless words”).  The guiding principle in law school research and writing classes was simple – say more with less.  I believe the exercises presented in Section 5 are great practice, and I have discovered that many law students really need this practice.
